    Well boys....

The wounds are healing, the legs feel good, the dented frame is deemed worthy, the white bar tape is ready... it's time for BC Superweek!!!  Hopefully it'll be a good one!  Lookin' forward to some good rides with lots of AB guys.  Check out the results and hopefully pics will be up when I get back!

    Have fun.

    Recovering

My wounds are coming along nicely today... I also have my first real workout, so we'll see how that feels.  This week has been so ridiculously hot, I've been staying in the basement all the time!

But I did get some pics care of Alan S. from the crit...  Enjoy!

    SA out

    Sorry Matt

Well, a few more hard races out at nationals.  Junior men... Mike Bidniak made the early split, Spencer finished just a few more minutes back.  I don't know... but I hope Eric and Neal didn't crash and that something just happened.  And in the elite men race... another crazy-hard 1/3 of the field finishing crazy suffer-fest!  A couple DNFs and a couple decent results.  Great ride Nick and Phil!  Again, I hope no major crashes.

And here... Canada Day... Bruce got away early and I felt decent, I didn't really have anything for the sprints though.  Then just past halfway I was closing a gap to Evan and put my head down for a second, when I looked up the curb jumped out at me and I went down.  Man that was dumb!  (pics to follow...) Sorry Matt, I didn't mean to break your derailleur off!  I don't even really know what happened.  I got a free lap and got back in, but just couldn't do it anymore.  I pulled with 15mins left.

I thought I might be able to recover for the trofeo leva, but my hip was really sore and I decided to rest up for Superweek.  But Tim made another amazing effort today... that guy is a friggin' machine!

Just a couple more hard days and some travel, then it's off to play with the big boys at superweek!

    Have a good one

News from all over the world

So how 'bout those Albertans in Quebec?  Pretty Sweet!  A couple tt wins courtesy of Eric Smith and Julie Beveridge.  Spencer Smitheman 5th, Danielle Kenny 2nd in the tt and the road race.  A couple more good performances in the road races yesterday!  Good luck in the men's road race today!

And what about the tour de france??? They're all on drugs!  Just let them race!  I don't even know what to think...

But here in Alberta I rode another crappy track race last weekend in Calgary... I just don't think I'm very good at that kind of thing... oh well!  It's good to get the power I need.

This weekend, CANADA DAY!!! A points race this afternoon and the trofeo leva provincial crit championships tomorrow!  Let's hope for a good weekend!
