    Wow, it's really official!

Just wanted to post that Carrie actually got married!  Wow, I can't believe it!  It's been nuts!  I'll have pics and a story soon|

And I don't think I've really said anything about the stag the weekend before, but that'll come... I'm lazy and school's calling my name|

But I will post regarding the first CX race of the year!
    • Steve and Hardcore put on another great race.  I'm not gonna lie... I was nervous going in even though I had some excuses and the race really didn't matter.  I think I just wanted to show everyone that I was where I should be and where I want to be.  I did throw down an SA start though, which let me spin easy up the hill and lose a few places.  Then I was able to hang onto the lead group for almost 2 laps, and then dangle for a couple more.  I caught a couple people, Todd passed me and then I passed him again.  Sean Barr caught me and we rode most of the race together.  We caught Andre and rode with him, tried to drop him a couple times... unsuccessfully.  I knew Sean was playing games with me, again, but I let him to do it to me, again!  Man I am dumb!  Oh well, they were just stronger and dropped me on the steep climb on the last lap.  Steve we need another barrier there...!  I ended up 8th.  Not too bad...  I have a pic on the start, but hopefully more soon|
And the bike did receive a new Alpha Q fork (Thanx boys!) and some carbon tubulars, but this weekend will see the return of the SA signature CX dope machine!!!|

And I still have a set of Spooky brakes for $170 and a set of Tufo T30 Tubulars for $125 or $65 for one|
    • Just call me the BPHK

Thought I'd also mention that my legs are coming back and racing is only 11 days... my lucky number!!!!  But it is raining...

    This really bunches my shorts!

Oh, Frank Barone, YOU ARE THE MAN!!!

    Hahahaha!!!! Ow...

I have to say that I actually laughed out loud when I saw this headline...
Petacchi breaks hand after punching bus
    Oh man, silly Italians...

WAY TO BE ALBERTA!!!!  I haven't said anything yet, but you guys tore it up at track nats!  A whole bunch of podiums/wins and not many without the blue.  Woohoo!  Let's just hope that CX Team can follow suit and throw a few guys in the maple leaf!

On the home front, do you remember when I said that I felt great that I had actually been training and that I had been tired/sore for 2 weeks straight.  Well that definitely got old and now it hurts.  I've missed a couple days of training now, but I think I'm gonna jump back on the horse (I mean, bike...) tomorrow.

And for all you doofs who think I'm a weight weenie, check out cyclingnews.com's day 7 coverage of Eurobike... http://www.cyclingnews.com/tech/2006/shows/eurobike06/?id=results/eurobike067 sometimes I think I have German roots.

ps.  Watch out for that Lampre Bus, it'll break your hand!

    School and Books

    Well,

I added some book stuff now.  Feel free to comment or ask about 'em.  I've expanded my blog more past cycling... we'll see how that goes.

I had my UofA orientation today, got my onecard, got a locker ($65!!!! :(  unbelievable...), and got bored.  I also forgot about buying textbooks and realized I'm pretty sure I'm not going to have enough money.

I'm kind of tired and lazy right now so I think I'm gonna head'er.

    Lata Skata!

    More Cyclo-cross

    Well,

The cyclo-cross training is going really well.  I've been tired for pretty much 2 weeks straight!  It feels awesome!  I actually feel like I'm getting faster again, not just stay as fast as I was last weekend.  My new bike is sweet.  Super stiff!  And I think it will be pretty light after all my race mods.

I was going to take my camera on a couple rides... but I never really have a minute to take any pics... maybe soon.  Or else they'll just have to wait for race season!  3 WEEKS!!!

For those of you who didn't know, Nationals is now on Nov 11.  That means the weekend is free for the last two USGPs in Lakewood, Washington and Portland, Oregon.  Hopefully we can have a large Alberta contingent wearing a lot of National Champions jerseys...  Hopefully!  And then we can make our travel plans for Worlds!  Hooglede, here we come!

Thanks for the ride today Mike and Dave and Dad... quote of the day "I don't think this is a trail... look there's one!"  Haha.
